The Castagna tuning workshop presented photos of its new design, the Audi A8 Allroad, which was built on the basis of the extended version of the previous generation of the sedan. The machine is equipped with a 6.3-liter W12 engine and a four-wheel drive.
Aluminum and carbon fiber are used in the body structure to help the rear and the machine’s roofs to be processed. The same approach is used by the Dutch workshop Qwest, which turned the Tesla Model S into a wagon. The Audi A8 has additional body protection as well as roof rails.
Under the cover of the Audi A8 Allroad is a 6.3-liter W12 atmospheric engine with a 500 hp and 625 Nm of torque. The thrust is transmitted on all four wheels with 8-speed automatic transmission. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in the standard Audi A8 L W12 takes 4.7 sec and the maximum speed of the car is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
At the moment allroad model of Audi is the Audi A6 allroad quattro. The company does not intend to launch the A8 and its tailored version.
