BMW M850i is not slow at all, but those who want an even faster 8-Series will have to wait for the M8 – or turn to G-Power. The German tuning company revealed that it was developing a modified version of the M850i xDrive, which until the peak of the M8 was on top of the 8-Series.
The original BMW M850i gets 523 hp and a torque of 749 Nm. G-Power works not one but two tuning packages called Stage 1 and 2.
The BMW Blog reports that Stage 1 will deliver 611 hp and the torque will rise to 850 Nm, which will give the car more power than the Mercedes-AMG S63. The Stage 2 package will bring things up to a whole new level, and now we will have 660 hp and a torque of 890 Nm.
G-Power does not specify how these monumental power and torque figures will achieve, but perhaps the modifications include a new exhaust system, custom ECU, and perhaps new turbochargers.
What we can say for sure is that the modified M850i xDrive models with Stage 1 and Stage 2 will be extremely fast, perhaps even faster than the M8 and M8 Competition. We suppose we’ll soon find out if it will.
