Mitsubishi Motors has released the first official photos of the GT-PHEV crossover concept as well as vehicle information. The official premiere of the model will take place during the opening of the international car show in Paris on 29 September.
The Mitsubishi GT-PHEV is actually the forerunner of a new-generation hybrid model. The machine will be able to charge from the power grid and its design is in the new company style of the Japanese manufacturer – Dynamic Shield. So far, the company does not show pictures of the interior, but they claim that the saloon is made like a racing cockpit, using leather with a dark-red color Burgundy, which is in a roofed tone.
The power unit of the concept model includes three electric motors that support and improve the operation of the internal combustion engine. One of the electric motors is mounted on the front axle and the other two on the rear axle are connected to new high-capacity batteries. Mitsubishi adds that such a construction significantly enhances the propulsion of the four-wheel drive and the integrated vehicle control system.
The Mitsubishi GT-PHEV only can travel about 120 km, and with a full tank and charged batteries, its mileage is 1200 km. In addition to this model, the Japanese will show off in Paris the all-electric crossover – eX, as well as the new versions of its Outlander and Outlander PHEV models for the European market.
