Mercedes-Benz G-Class driving through mud

Mercedes-Benz G-Class

When talking about off-road, we should mention the name of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Only a few are the SUVs, which can beat the German car off-road. With its latest update, the G-class has become more luxurious than ever, as even some journalists have said they can perfectly compare it to SUVs like the Range Rover.

But does it mean that it is performing worse offroad? Mercedes do not think so! And to prove it, they released a short video titled “Driving Through Mud with Jessi Combs”.

Driven by the fastest woman on 4 wheels, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class proves its capabilities, supported by the 241 mm clearance and all-season tires. The lady explains that before driving to the difficult terrain, the driver must switch to slow gears and lock the rear differential.

Optionally, you can also lock the front differential, but Mercedes recommends doing only in extreme conditions and obstacles.

Keep in mind that the diesel G-Class will arrive in European showrooms as early as January. With a torque of 600 Nm and a maximum power of 282 hp, the 2.9-liter, 6-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine will be the perfect choice for off-road maniacs.

If you want to get an equally successful SUV at a more affordable price, you can always look at the Suzuki Jimny and the Jeep Wrangler off-road icon.
