At the Geneva Motor Show in 2018, Toyota introduced the new generation of Supra, revealing the GR Supra Racing Concept. However, it seems that the Japanese company has not finished the range of the forthcoming sports car, as it has already announced another version.
Named Toyota GR Supra GT Concept, it will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019, which takes place in Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, between January 11 and 13.
The only thing that implies the presence of the model besides the main press release is the above image. It shows the profile of the car, including a large rear wing and wide rear diffuser, as well as a possible red-black color scheme.
Joining the new concept of the Tokyo Motor Show, we will see Lexus LC Nurburgring-spec, Yaris WRC and TS050 Hybrid, as well as Supra, which is already taking part in several home competitions. From this constellation, LC, Yaris, and TS050 Hybrid are expected to compete in high-level races next year.
Meanwhile, the Toyota Supra 2020 will be celebrating its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show on January 14th. Magna Steyr will be responsible for the assembly of the model in Austria in the first half of next year at the same facility as the 2019 BMW Z4.
