The world premiere of the new model year of the Mitsubishi’s compact SUV ASX (RVR or Outlander Sport in some markets) will take place at the 89th International Motor Show in Geneva to be held on March 5-17.
Since its launch in 2009, ASX’s sales so far amounted to about 1.32 million units in 90 countries. The largest markets for the model are North America, Europe, Australia, and China. Currently, it is Mitsubishi’s third-largest car and a key model for the company’s global strategy.
The exterior of the model has undergone a major change, driven by the solid and precise design philosophy – an expression of the Mitsubishi slogan: Drive your Ambition.
Mitsubishi ASX is a compact SUV designed for the city, offering a range of extras that make it ideal for both daily use and exciting weekend adventures. Its lightweight and compact design coupled with the SUV capability make driving a pleasure.
On the European markets, Mitsubishi ASX will be a 2.0L MIVEC 16-valve engine with 5-speed manual transmission or INVECS-III CVT with 6-speed sports mode. The car will be available in both front-wheel drive and 4×4 drive.
ASX offers security and safety thanks to features such as the enhanced RISE design and the Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) system.
