New details of the next generation of the BMW M3 were published. It is clear that the model will preserve the mechanical gearbox and also get 3 different engine power variants.
Under the cover of the sports car will be placed a standard 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine with two turbines developing in the base version 450 hp. In this case, it will be combined with a mechanical gearbox and transmission will be to the rear axle.
For the automatic transmission version, the engine power will be increased to 475 hp, and the car will be all-wheel-drive system – xDrive. The same combination – a 4×4 automatic and four-wheel drive, will also be available for the top-level Competition where the engine will develop around 500 hp.
Additionally, the new BMW M3 will be fitted with adaptive suspension, sporty M-differential, and carbon-braking mechanisms. Its premiere will take place in 2020.
