Skoda develops hot hatch with 245 hp

Skoda will present the Visison RS concept hatchback next week at the Paris Motor Show. The manufacturer has distributed sketches of the car that have to show how the future sports models of the brand will look. The Skoda Vision RS will be powered by a hybrid unit that includes a 1.5-liter petrol turbocharger with 150 hp. and a 102 hp electric engine. The total power of the drive system is 245 hp.

According to preliminary data, the hatch will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and its maximum speed will be 210 km/h. The electric motor will be powered by a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 13 kW/h, which will provide only a 70 km electricity.

The length of the Skoda Vision RS is 4.3 meters, the width is 1.8 meters and the height is 1.4 meters. The distance between the two axles is 2.6 meters, and in Skoda have made special inspiration for the aerodynamics of the car. The headlamps of the concept are lower, there is also a roof spoiler, rear diffuser and floating fenders.

Many of the Škoda Vision RS’s design solutions will be used in the next-generation Rapid, which will be launched in 2019. The Hatchback will go on a new MQB platform and will feature 1.5-liter turbochargers in its range. depending on the modification, develop between 125 and 150 hp.
