British automaker Rolls-Royce showed a new version of Phantom – Privacy Suite at the Chengdu Chinese Motor Show. The extended sedan has a curtain in the lounge that allows its rear to be isolated from the front passenger seclusion.
The barrier is made of “smart” electrochromatic glass, which changes the degree of transparency. It is also equipped with modern sound absorbing materials that ensure a quiet journey. A special internal communication was created for a conversation with the driver.
An opening in the barrier, which lights up when opened, allows the transmission of objects between the rear passengers and the driver. It has a built-in multimedia system with two 12-inch screens, which can also be used to adjust the panorama roof and clock. The passenger part of the lounge also has electric-curtains on the side and rear windows.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is a luxury saloon car manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It is the eighth and current generation of Rolls-Royce Phantom, and the second launched by Rolls-Royce under BMW ownership. It is offered in two wheelbase lengths.
