Peugeot continues with the distribution of the GTi logo on its models. After the 2008 Crossover has received a similar version, it will soon be happening with the larger SUV-3008. This was recognized by the product manager of the French manufacturer Marion David, quoted by Auto Express.
Currently, the 3008 GT version of the model comes with a 2.0-liter diesel engine developing 180 hp. This modification enjoys a relatively high interest among the brand’s customers, so the French have decided to take another step further.
For this purpose, the crossover built on the extended EMP2 modular platform will be delivered with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. Its power will be 250 and 270 hp. The car will be available with front-wheel drive and self-locking differential, the weaker version will accelerate from 0 to 100hp in 6 seconds and the more powerful in 5.8 seconds. For both cars the maximum speed will be limited to 250 km/h.
