Although the Mitsubishi Motors team is no longer involved in motorsports, the name of the company will be in Dakar Rally.

The Spanish office of the company supports the participation of 26-year-old rally champion Cristina Gutierrez with Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in this year’s Dakar Rally, which will be held from January 6th to January 17th, 2019. Navigator is Spaniard Pablo Huete.

In any case, having the experience of the previous two years, I will be able to overlook January most of the experience”, said Cristina Gutierrez.

Her goal is the Top 20 in the race with her Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross T1. The car is a prototype, has a steel tubular structure, fiber-carbon panels, independent suspension with double crossbars and springs, 2 shock absorbers, fully adjustable suspension and stabilizing bar, front and rear differential lock, mechanical center differential, 6-speed sequential gearbox and a 340 hp engine.
