The German insurance company HUK24 revealed the technical characteristics of the Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4Matic. The top version of the compact model will receive a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine developing 415 hp.
If this information is confirmed, it means the car will develop 21 hp more than its main rival on the market – Audi RS3 Sportback. The basic version of the Mercedes-AMG A45 will receive 382 hp, which is only 6 hp more than the current version of the model.
As far as the technical characteristics are concerned, the current hatchback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.23 seconds, and there is an electronic speed limiter that is triggered at 250 km/h. Probably the S-version will accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and its speed will reach at least 270 km/h.
Additionally, the two modifications – the Mercedes-AMG A45 and the A45 S – will get a drift mode. More information on the car will be available in March when the model will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
