Maserati Levante GTS will get an engine of Ferrari

Maserati Levante GTS

Italian manufacturer Maserati completes the tests of the “inflated” version of his Levante crossover. She will receive a GTS add-on to her name and will debut in early 2018.

The new modification will receive the 3.8-liter V8 engine with two turbines, which is produced by Ferrari. This engine is now used in one of the Maserati models – the Quattroporte GTS sedan, where it develops 523 hp.

Thanks to its new power unit, Levante GTS will be able to compete with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, whose engine develops 524 hp. Approximately the same power will be another rival of the Italian sports SUV – Range Rover Velar SVR, whose release is also forthcoming.

The Italian model will be able to “boast” with individual chassis settings as well as with the additional sports mode of pneumatic suspension. In addition, the Maserati Levante GTS will get aggressive aerodynamics, as well as a number of carbon fiber elements – both in the exterior and interior.
