Despite the efforts of Peugeot, the 308 GTi failed to achieve the fame and success of its French and German rivals. Even the car’s participation in the WTCR does not really help the cause.

But the Italian auto tourism racing driver Massimo Arduini may change that. He and his team have created an interesting version of the Peugeot 308 GTi, which is very similar to the TCR racing modification and at the same time quite different.

The Arduini Corse project relies on the wider step of the car and the addition of an aggressive aerodynamic package – in other words, a racing car for every day. The power of the 1.6-litre turbo engine has risen from 270 to 302 hp and a new intercourse is on the list of changes.

OZ Racing’s 18-inch wheels are directly occupied by motorsports and the car gets Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2. The Italians have removed everything unnecessarily from the car and its weight is already 1,155 kg. Initially, the suspension has also undergone changes – adjustable KW shock absorbers and Brembo brakes with 340 mm discs.
