G-Power tuning of BMW M550i

BMW M550i g-power tuning

The G-Power Tuning Workshop in the past has often put mechanical compressors on BMW models, but it also offers interesting projects in the current era of massive turbocharging. One of them is the M550i xDrive sedan.

Using the enormous potential and potential of turbochargers, the experts have modernized the already impressive car. The standard model is equipped with a 4-liter V8 engine with two turbines, which develops 462 hp. at 5500 rpm and 650 Nm at 1800 rpm. The acceleration in the sedan takes just 4 seconds and the maximum speed is traditionally limited electronically to 250 km/h.

After the G-Power engineers intervened, the engine developed 600 hp. and 810 Nm. Thus, the M550i is already with equal power as the new BMW M5 and the torque is 60 Nm higher. Accordingly, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is now 3.2 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than M5.

If the customer asks, the electronic speed limiter can be lowered and the car will now have a top speed of 320 km / h. The entire upgrade costs 2,197 euros. If it seems to be a lot to some, G-Power also offers a lower version with 550 hp and 780 Nm, which costs 1624 EUR.

The automobile itself, in addition to being very powerful and fast, looks remarkable, although there are not many awards from the serial model. Particularly impressive are the 21-inch Hurricane RR wheels with 255/30 front and 305/25 rear tires.
