Fiat Tipo is a standard family car that is available as a hatchback, sedan, and wagon. It is a completely utilitarian car. At least for now. Because the Italian company is preparing to release its sports version – Abarth.
So far, the most powerful in the range was the Fiat Tipo with a power of 120 hp. Fiat Tipo Abarth is expected to receive a 1.4-liter turbo engine that is already being used in many other cars of the concern, and whose output will be at least 180 hp. Of course, there is another very beautiful 1.8-liter engine installed under the cover of the Alfa-Romeo Giulietta, but possibly it will not be available in engine range of Fiat Tipo Abarth.
It turned out that plastic exterior elements, scorpion stickers, and aluminum wheels were not enough to turn the family car into a sports car and carmaker to ask more money for it. Especially considering Renault Clio RS, for example, which has price half of those of Abarth.
But now the market has become much richer. And Fiat Tipo Abarth will have to make serious dumping to stay in this market. That leads to the conclusion that in this case, the 1.4-liter engine is better.
