At the moment, the 6.6-liter V12 power unit is put on the most powerful modifications to the BMW 7-Series sedan, which is available in the BMW M760i (and the BMW M760Li) with 600 hp.
According to the release, the V12 engine will leave the European version of the model in 2019. Then the upgraded version of the 7 Series will be released on the market. The engine will, however, continue to be used on the US market where the environmental requirements are not so serious.
It was assumed that the 6.6-liter V12 will also be placed on the future flagship of the brand – the BMW X7, but such a model version will not be available. Curiously, however, what will happen to the British brand Rolls-Royce, where this engine is used.
