Audi has presented the most powerful versions of the TT and the coupe. They have received a RS add-on to their name and will debut in front of an audience at the Beijing Motor Show, which opens this week.
Both versions of the model are equipped with a new, entirely aluminum engine, with a volume of 2.5 liters. The engine is 5-cylinder, developing power of 400 hp. and 480 Nm of torque. It combines with a 7-speed robotized S tronic 2-clutch gearbox.
The cars also received a four-wheel drive system. The coupé equipped with this technology accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and the roadster in 3.9 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h, but the electronics limit can be displaced to 280 km / h.
The Audi TT RS includes 19-inch wheels, LED front and rear lights, electronic system control system, active exhaust system as well as an all-digital instrument panel – a virtual cockpit with special RS mode.
In addition, the TT is the first RS model to receive the new multi-function steering wheel. Together with the control keys of the multimedia system and the steering wheel panel, the engine start button is also available, as well as the ability to change the drive select modes.
As an option, carbon-ceramic brakes, sports RS suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, dipped-beam headlamps as well as tail lights with 3D effect are available. This is Audi’s first production model with all OLED headlights.
Sales of the Audi TT RS start in the autumn. Coupe prices start at 66,400 EUR, and the roadster is 69,200 EUR.
