Audi will produce the e-tron electric car on demand only. Dealers will not have ready-made items, Automotive News reports, quoting the head of the US subsidiary Scott Keog. As is well known, the electric crossover was introduced a few days ago.
Keog explained that with the electric car, the brand has chosen a new promotion strategy. The Audi e-tron can be ordered by any official dealer of the German carmaker, but the car itself will be produced on request only.
Available items from which the buyer will choose the right option and will immediately receive it will not be available. The model price in Europe is 79,900 euros.
At the same time, Autocar points out that by 2020, Audi will equip its electric cars with batteries that support an express charge – 80% of their capacity in just 10 minutes, connecting to 150-kW units.
